G.E. Schmidt was founded in 1960 by Gus
Edward Schmidt and later taken over by
Shy Johnson. In 1995, Drew Johnson bought
the business and began a transformation
that has evolved GES into one of the leading
distributors and manufacturers of resistance
welding products and services.
GES is a recognized Master Distributor
for a number of key suppliers and has
become the leader in implementing Quality
Assurance sensor systems for both new
and existing equipment. With a focus on
nut welding applications, GES offers complete
systems including its own ProLine Series
pedestal welders, nut feeders, custom
electrodes, the ProLine Nut Verification
System (NVS), robotic loading systems,
and safety devices.
Our facility in Cincinnati includes a
training room and welding laboratory.
We offer general and custom classes to
help all your employees become more knowledgeable
in resistance welding. We offer process
development services to improve your existing
applications or to determine feasibility
and machine requirements for new ones.
